It bears the publishers name on the inside cover page, and the title pages of each book. It is Series No. 1, 2nd Edition from 1911. The first editions were produced beginning in 1886. The colors are still very good. This book is bound with very fine criss-cross stitching and still tight, and intact.

Condition

This book is timeworn, but primarily on the covers, and some interior pages, shown in the photos. There is generalized wear from handling over the last 100+ years. The pages, which are very tightly bound, are cleanly separated at the folds, with some occasional stains and tears, very supple, not brittle, and otherwise in overall good condition. It measures 6" high x 4" wide, by about 1" thick. Japanese Fairy Tale books are pretty scarce, and crepe books are very rare in any condition. This set of crepe fairy tale books was much loved, read and handled.
