Northern Europe, Russia, Kievan Rus/Vikings/Kiev Culture, ca. 1000 CE. A pair of gorgeous white bronze (a copper alloy with a high percentage of tin) lunate pendants. Cast on their decorated faces is the distinctive inset triangular symbol (in a repeated fashion) that is common on Viking metal artwork. Each has a horizontal loop for suspension. The lunate form is a common one in the post-Roman/Migration Era world, its true meaning unknown but most likely based on the shape of the crescent moon. Size: 2.25" W x 2" H (5.7 cm x 5.1 cm)

Condition
Both have patina on their surfaces. One of the loops for suspension does not seem to have been cast properly, but is still functional. The other has a tiny corroded hole through its center.
