In the 1950s, unable to paint due to crippling arthritis in his hands, Matisse was forced to cut out paper and make collages. Happily he created one of the greatest series of works in the 20th century - his "Jazz" pieces. This 1950s poster describes different Jazz creations. Like the music from the period, the poster has a breezy, colorful "South of France" feel to it. Framed And matted in a cream colored Mat and black toned frame. Slight creases where paper was once folded. Not examined out of frame. Measures approx 38 inches wide x 18 inches tall.
