Description
VIRGINIA WALNUT STRETCHER-BASE WORK / TAVERN TABLE, rectangular three-board top, above a full-length lip-molded dovetailed drawer, raised on ring-and-baluster turned legs joined by a box stretcher. Pine and poplar secondary woods. Period, possibly original brass bail pull. Probably central Tidewater, VA, possibly Fredericksburg. Circa 1770. 27" H, 38" W, 25" D.
Good condition overall, one drawer bottom board replaced, three feet tipped out, other possibly restoration to stretcher areas, loss to top of brass plate, expected stains and cracking to top.

Found in Fredericksburg, VA.
