WILLIAM HENRY BROWN (AMERICAN, 1808-1883) CUT-AND-PASTED SILHOUETTE OF A MAN, full-length depiction of a portly, slightly stooped figure wearing top hat, retains an old typed label with erroneous artist attribution attached verso, identifying the sitter as "Great-Great Grandfather Enders", purportedly of Richmond, Virginia. Housed under glass in a period giltwood frame. Circa 1845. 13 1/4" x 9 1/8" sight, 16 1/4" x 12" OA.
Silhouette with moderate toning and discoloration at upper edge. Frame with moderate surface wear. Not examined out of frame.
