Description
AMERICAN DECORATED STONEWARE VESSELS, LOT OF TWO, salt-glazed, comprising an approximately one-gallon jug stamped "WHITE'S UTICA" above slip-trailed cobalt decoration, and an approximately two-gallon ovoid jar with two arched handles and Albany-slip glazed interior, featuring a brushed cobalt three-petal leaf to front and additional cobalt at handle terminals. Second half 19th century. 10 3/4" and 13" H.
Jar with shallow chip to outer edge of rim and several chips around base, jug with crack to left of decoration.
