An untitled composition of winged cow,
1949
Stonelain pottery, produced for Associated American Artists, New York. Stonelain Pottery was decorated by member artists of the Associated American Artists, a New York venture that began in 1934 and brought the works of many accomplished artists to the middle classes, including those of Missouri artist Thomas Hart Benton. Prints were the primary medium but as seen here, pottery was also produced for a short while. These designs were executed by recognized and accomplished member artists.
Measures 7 x 6.5 inches.
Provenance: The Estate Collection of Richard Harkrider.
