A Japanese Samurai Armor, Edo Period, 18th-19th century

Comprising:
Gilt and lacquered iron, gilt and lacquered wood, gilt bronze, and odoshi-laced single-hinge ni mai dou;
Gilt and lacquered iron, odoshi-laced hinged sode;
Kusari (chain mail), gilt and lacquered wood, leather, and brocade silk kote with conforming tekko;
Leather, fiber, iron, and gilt wood kote;
Lacquered and gilt wood, silk, and fiber odoshi-laced kusazuri;
Lacquered and gilt wood, kusari (chain mail), leather, and brocade silk haidate;
Black lacquered bird's beak kabuto (possibly a momonari or kawari variant) with gilt iron rope trim; leather, silk and gilt bronze fukigaeshi with applied medallions; squared maedate; lacquered iron, gilt bronze, silk, and odoshi-laced shikoro;
Later lacquered armor box.

Condition
Armor condition: Varying degrees of age-cracking and chipping to lacquer throughout, kabuto with some missing decorative elements and flaking to lacquer and leather, some rust spots to iron elements, varying degrees of thread separation throughout, near complete separation of odoshi lace to kusazuri, chain mail separated and moderate-heavy wear to kote, some hinge pins missing/replaced, other errant separations and thread loss, with wear commensurate with age and use.
Box condition: Box of later vintage, flaking to lacquering, some rubbing, some age-related cracking, some iron mounts loose, with wear commensurate with age and use.
