VINTAGE c 1960 GROUP SWIMMING by MINE QUARRY at POVERTY BEACH in BLAIRSVILLE, PA Description: Circa 1960's Artistic Vintage Photograph; Depiction of people swimming in an area which is adjacent to a quarry or mine. Previous owner passed along that this site in the industrial town of Blairsville, PA was nicknamed by the locals as "Poverty Beach". Notice the painted grafitti writing on the concrete "beach" or dam reads, "BLAIRSVILLE". Photograph size is about 9-1/2" x 7-1/2". It has been mounted to a board which is about 8-1/2" x 11". Photograph has light soiling and surface scuffs. Mount has soiling, raw edges, and writing on the reverse. Please see photos for additional condition review.
