This 19th Century Sampler Crazy Quilt Is a stunner 62" x 56" So Elaborately pieced and embroidered! Please scroll the entire quilt to take it all in! ..and to see that this is not a perfect quilt. There are silk losses and shatterings, a bit fragile. The 12 different blocks have been put together with wonderful originality, flair and fun detail! The American Flag Block has nine flags! This is a brilliant example of an imaginatively constructed Sampler Quilt...made by 12 friends" The frilly lace trim is intact and the backing is a shade of light pinkish plum pongee silk with a little fading. Definitely a quilt to hang in a place of honor.
