At the beginning of the first and last parts, introductions by the author are printed. At the beginning of the introduction to Taharot, the author writes: And I arranged the Tosefta according to the order of the Vilna Gaon, ztz"l who finely sifted it, except for in a few places where I used our version, as maintained by our rabbi and the Raava"d and the Ro"sh, and I argued with him in an argument of love." His intention being Taharat HaKodesh with commentaries and glosses by the Vilna Gaon. Very in-demand set of mishnahs.

Alongside this, he traveled to the great Admors of the generation, especially Rabbi Avraham Yehoshua Heschel of Apta [the "Ohev Yisrael"] and then to Rabbi Yisrael of Ruzhin, who praised him excessively. He was famed as a wonder worker and many chassidim followed him. He composed works in the revealed and hidden (aspects of Torah), and was known as the author of Heichal HaBerachah.
