Description
Two mid 19th century gold carnelian fobs. The first designed as an oval-shape carnelian seal engraved with monogram 'R.M.' to an openwork pedestal, the second designed as a cushion-shape carnelian with embossed floral mount and pedestal. Lengths 3.6 and 4cms. Total weight 30.7gms.
Condition
  • Overall condition fair. Surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and dents in keeping with general age and wear.
  • Openwork pedestal appears to be slightly bent inwards.
  • Carnelian in good condition with minor abrasions. Oval-shape panel with minor nicks to the edges of the engraving.

  • Length of panels 2.4 and 2.9cms.
