Description
Northern Elm (yumu) table likely of Jin origin, today's Shanxi region. The square table built using traditional beam and pillar construction method supported with humpback stretchers and extra spandrels decorated with carved image of ruyi cloud. The table top is constructe by securing four tongued and grooved panels into a mitred frame with tenon and mortise joints. Late 18 to early 19th C. Size: 102 x 102 x 87cm (40 x 40 x 34 1/2 in.)
