Probably early 20th century, signed ''Carlo Nicoli'' (1843-1915, Italian) and titled ''Le Travail'' (work), patinated bronze figure of a blacksmith, an allegory of labor, on a circular molded Rouge Griotte plinth, 26.75'' H x 10'' W x 10.5'' D, est:$2000/3000. Note: An example of this model sold Sotheby's Olympia, June 15, 2004, lot 134 (1,680 British Pounds Sterling). Provenance: Property from a Private Collection, Pasadena, CA
Condition
Good condition overall. Nicely cast. With a dark brown patina to surface overall. General marks, scratches, light rubbing and dirt accumulation overall. With some scattered small chipped losses to marble plinth. AS-IS. ALL SALES FINAL
