With an original 3 page signed letter by the Countess Guiccioli tipped into the front of vol. 1. A few other pieces of related ephemera are tipped in or pasted at the front of the volume as well. With the decorative bookplates of John Francis Neylan, and William and Myrna Pollak.
Teresa, Contessa Guiccioli was the married lover of Lord Byron while he was living in Ravenna, Italy, and writing the first five cantos of Don Juan. Alexandre Dumas included her as a minor character in his novel The Count on Monte Cristo using the disguised name "Countess G-" Lord Byron also used this shortened name in his journals.
