**Originally Listed At $1200**
East Asia, China, Han Dynasty, ca. 206 BCE to 220 CE. A long, socketed bronze spearhead with a nice shape and heft. A wide, flat ridge runs up the center of the blade, which is long and straight until near its socket, when it abruptly flares outward into wide, rounded shoulders. The socket itself is narrow and cylindrical, with two perforations for nailing a wooden handle in place. This beautiful item was made to be placed into a tomb or used ceremonially, as iron weapons had replaced bronze ones for actual combat by this point in Chinese history. Size: 3" W x 18" H (7.6 cm x 45.7 cm)

Condition
Patina on surface, mottled pale green and golden "river patina". Socket is slightly bent at end. Nice preservation of form.
