Majestic and Great Venetian Seal depicting the Lion of St. Mark in Moléca in Yellow Royal Marble (in the dialect called "Leon in moeca", this expression is due to the position in which the Lion is commonly portrayed, while keeping, underneath, the Gospel tight between the two legs assuming an appearance that looks like a crab for the shape of the wings, in Venetian moléca is the name of the small crabs). Completely worked and sculpted by hand by the master craftsmen of the period, the work represents a Bas-relief of a Marciano Lion with the open gospel and with the lion's snout seen from the front. The object is of excellent workmanship, dates back to the end of the 1700s and comes from the city of Gorizia, Originale.It was customary to embed the coat of arms in the walls of the most important villas in the area, a typical feature of the place. This precisely comes from an important private noble residence in the area of ??Gorizia, it was placed at the main entrance of the building, while another was placed at the exit.Lot more unique than rare, of extraordinary quality, to underline the strange round shape and "big" size but not excessive, the details and details are defined with accurate precision.Mainly the mane, the wings and the expression of the lion make this lot one of the most enchanting and fascinating representations of the Lion of S.
