WWI LOVE LETTERS FROM A. R. PATTERSON TO ALTHA: 3 WWI love letters from Alexander Robertson Patterson Sgt. 1st Class U.S. Army on Knights of Columbus Army of Occupation stationary to his sweetheart Altha Polkinghorn, Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, some notes 1918-
"Yesterday the entire 3rd division 30,000 men was inspected by General Pershing and the commanding General of the 3rd army"...
and I am surely glad it is over, once in a lifetime is sufficient.... The division was in place at 10:00am and we 1919- "Already 67 men have been shot only with hypodermic needles, however that is almost as bad a heavy artillery gun"...
