MOLD-BLOWN, CUT, AND ENGRAVED KEROSENE STAND LAMP, colorless compressed pyriform font with floral band pattern, brass ribbed stem and double-step marble base with stamped brass ornamentation, No. 2 fine-line collar, colorless wafer construction. Fitted with a period setup comprising an E. F. Jones No. 2 lip burner, thumbwheel marked "E. F. JONES. PATENT JANUARY 11, 1859.", and with wing symbol, 4 1/4" shade ring with holes for prisms to rim and a colorless lip chimney. Third quarter 19th century. 9 1/4" H to top of collar, 4 1/2" SQ base.
Excellent condition, lamp undamaged, marble with expected flakes/roughness. Burner with some discoloration, otherwise undamaged, shade ring with some minor repairs, chimney undamaged.
Provenance: From a Michigan collection.
