REIGHARD PATENTED KEROSENE HANGING LAMP FONT WITH BRASS FRAME, colorless compressed globular-form font, ringed shoulder over a molded draped band, side refill-feature with embossed patent date encircling "PATENTED JULY 2 1861", No. 3 fine-line collar. Fitted with a period setup comprising a No. 3 Holmes, Booth & Haydens lip burner and colorless lip chimney. Supported in a brass hanging frame with three cast scroll arms and a square link chain, ceiling support with ribbed ring hook. Third quarter 19th century. 35 1/2 HOA. Font 4 3/4" H to top of collar, 6 3/4" DOA.
Font undamaged with overall scattered bubbles and manufacturing imperfections. Burner deflector with light denting and expected wear, chimney fitter with flakes/roughness. Brass hanging frame with a repair to font support ring. Hangs slightly uneven.
