Description
An early porcelain partial dessert set by Spode, c.1815-1830. Comprised of 4 scalloped edged plates, 8.5" diameter, 3 oval serving bowls, 10.25" x 7" x 2" high and 1 lozenge shaped bowl / dish, 10.25" x 7.25" x 2.25" high. Each piece hand-decorated with flowers and leaves, surrounded by a saw-tooth gilt decorated motif. The blue glazed borders decorated with raised in relief florals. Impressed "Spodes New Stone" mark on the undersides with painted pattern numbers in orange / red.
CONDITION: small rim chip to the lozenge shaped bowl, some minor losses to gilding, see photos.
