Description
French Red vase decorated with a band of stylized roses by Sara Sax in 1918 and covered with the rich red glaze. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, the date, shape 950 C and a sideways P for the porcelain body and bearing Miss Sax' monogram. There is a wheel ground X for no obvious reason . No crazing. This is an early example of this desirable glaze line. Height is 10 1/4 inches.
