Description
Standard Glaze ewer, decorated by Josephine Zettel in 1892 with a bough of flowering columbine. Impressed with the Rookwood symbol, which indicates the date, shape 510 and a W to indicate white clay and incised with the artist's mark. There is light crazing. The decoration is attractively accomplished in fairly heavy slip and is on a form we have not seen previously. Height is 7 3/8 inches.
