Description
Tall Standard Glaze ewer, decorated with pretty yellow wild roses by Kataro Shirayamadani in 1888. Marked with the Rookwood symbol, which provides the date, shape 387, an S for sage clay, an incised L for Light Standard Glaze and the artist's incised signature. Pretty decoration and coloration on this 13 inch vessel. Uncrazed but having a couple of light glaze scratches.
