Item Details

Description

Newcomb College transitional period mat glaze vase with daisy decoration carved and painted by Elizabeth Antoinette Horner in 1912. Thick glaze on the bottom obscures the marks but the Newcomb logo and letter "B" in a circle are visible. The artist's incised initials "EAH" and the date code for 1912 (FO 2) in blue slip are also present. Height 6 inches. The exterior appears to be uncrazed while there is some crazing in the interior.
