A Very Fine carved Chinese Qing Dynasty gilt fine inscribed jade table screen with hardwood stand. Rectangular Nephrite, with intricately incised characters placed in a matrix pattern. Each character has been emblazoned in colloid-gilt, making every character standout amongst the tranquil milk-white jade. Etched around the border is the clouds and rolling thunder pattern which is equally distinct from the jade plaque. This masterful work of precision and craftsmanship rests snugly in an intricately carved hardwood stand. The stand is adorned by a central lotus flower along with curvaceous scroll-work running along the perimeter of the base.
