Description
Pre-Columbian, Classic Maya, ca. 300 to 900 CE. A collection of sixteen Mayan stone beads, most round or disc-shaped, with four long, cylindrical beads. All are made from a hard, polished grey, green, or black stone. These are strung on a modern macrame chain, with the largest beads forming a drop tassle from which dangle several of the smaller disc beads. Striking and sure to spark conversation! Length of strand: 31.5" L (80 cm); width of largest bead: 1.2" W (3 cm)

Beads are generally in beautiful condition, especially the larger ones. Smaller ones have some tiny chips and losses. Modern macrame string.
