Featuring a rare English figural antique porcelain scent bottle, realistically modeled and hand painted as a blue robin's egg by McIntyre & Co. of Burslem. Screw on sterling cover assayed by "C.S. F.S.", date mark(r), lion and anchor, Birmingham (regional stamp). Circa 1890. It measures 1 1/4" long. In very good condition, but there are some faint craze lines(not cracks)in the porcelain, two on the body, and one near the neck. This often happens with English ceramics and does not detract from the piece. Difficult to see unless under high magnification. Please feel free to ask for more photos. No damage to the cover or inside neck. The cover screws all the way down. Some of the photos show the cover not completely screwed down, but it will screw tightly. Figural scent bottles as this are hard to come by in porcelain. The English registry mark is on the base(see photo).
