This lot consists of a HAND DRAWN ink and pastel on paper, done in the colorful Modern style of the illustrious athlete Muhammad Ali (American, 1942-2016). While Ali was (and remains) most well-known for his boxing prowess, his talent in the visual arts should not go unnoticed. ArtNet News writes of Ali's art: 'The works show a strong sense of color and composition, and draw on Ali's life experience..' HAND SIGNED 'Muhammad Ali' at bottom right. Image depicts a vivid blue rocket ship blasting across a starry field of warm reds and yellows. Visually, this piece has great impact, as well as bold colors and contrasting lines.
