Slant Front Desk with every surface having shallow relief carved decoration except the top which has a faux branch carved gallery, in eucalyptus, carved by Dickman of Missouri and California, circa 1920. The lid has an oval containing a landscape with curving road, mountains and trees, flanked by floral branches with an edge band of blossoms, the drawer below with scrollwork and matching banding. The ends have landscapes with a canoeist, man on racing horse below, man in racing sulky on other side, rope trim, scroll carved cabriole legs with reticulated brackets, the interior is fitted with compartments and a drawer. 30 1/2" to writing surface, 41 1/2" tall, 32 1/2" x 19". Ink stains to interior, otherwise very good condition.
