1950’s and later. The collection consist of eleven art deco trophies won by Female Nascar driver Louis P. Smith of Greenville, South Carolina. The trophies include 1953 Winner Danville Virginia Fairground Speedway, Winner 1955 All State Women Championship Race, Winner 1954 Chattanooga Raceways Modified Division, Sportsman Race Winner Jacksonville Speedway 1952, Georgia roundup Woman Driver of the year and South-Eastern Champion Woman Driver Mobile Alabama. Note: Affectionately called the first lady of Nascar, Mrs. Smith was the first Female race driver to compete at Nascar's highest level. Throughout her career, spanning from 1949-1956, she won 38 races.
