Description
A STEUBEN BLUE AURENE IRIDESCENT GLASS VASE MOUNTED AS A LAMP, CORNING, NEW YORK, CIRCA 1905-1933, the baluster form vase designed by Frederick Carder (British/American 1863-1963) in blue glass with blue Aurene sprayed glaze, shape number 3275, the lip ground and bottom drilled to affix gilt bronze two light standard with acanthus leaf border to the cap, raised on cast acanthus leaf bordered base with four scrolled feet, the mounts stamped "EP," "309," vase height: 12:, diameter: 5 3/4".
Condition
The vase in good restored condition, with restored and reinforced cracks/fissures to the bottom most likely caused when the vase was drilled to become a lamp, minor surface rubbing to the vase.
