A THREE PIECE FRENCH NAPOLEON III STYLE TWO-TONE CAST AND CHASED GILT BRONZE MANTLE GARNITURE, CIRCA 1860-1870, comprising a pair of burnished and polished gilt bronze vasiform decorative ewers with quatrefoil form lip with mask under the spout raised on a baluster form stem with beaded border and gadrooned knop over a scrolled open crown form base and oval egg border, over a band of burnished acanthus scrolls centering raised oval strap work framed cartouches to the front and back and fitted with a demonic ringed mask to the side, crossed laurel leaf and berry sprigs below the cartouches, raised on reticulated stylized leaf and flower knop with gadrooned border and spreading foot with oval egg border, raised on circular canted cornered plinth with acanthus leaf pendants and hairy paw feet, to the side an addorsed "C" scroll handle with acanthus flourish and winged cherubic theme base, height: 19 1/8", width: 7", depth: 5"; and a center bowl with projecting strap work framed cartouches to the front and back with female masks and pendant fruit swags and to the sides acanthus scroll handles with lion mask and ring, attached to shaped bowl with guilloché border at the rim and beaded borders at the swells, over burnished and polished gadrooned bottom, raised on a winged seated putto figure stem seated on an upturned Corinthian capital over a circular canted cornered plinth with acanthus leaf pendants and hairy paw feet, height: 14 3/8", width: 13", depth: 9 3/8".

In overall good condition with areas of oxidation to the gilt finish, surface rubbing and wear commensurate with age and use.
