A FRENCH BELLE ÉPOQUE LOUIS XV STYLE GILT BEECH TUFTED MARQUIS TÊTE-À-TÊTE BERGÈRE, 19TH/20TH CENTURY, the arched "C" scroll and flower bloom carved crest rail, within a molded edge, above a rectangular back, over a bowed square seat within high serpentine, molded edge, upholstered, slightly bowed arms, ending in out swept acanthus leaf scrolled hand terminals, on molded swan neck supports, covered with large acanthus leaves centering graduating beads, raised on palmette carved knee cabriole legs, encrusted with swirling acanthus leaves, terminating in French toes, joined by an arched skirt, centering a whiplash acanthus leaf flourish, now covered in sea foam green, button tufted upholstery, with matching silk gimp trim. Now lacking casters. Some gilt rubbing with very mild losses to carving. Mild debris within button tufts, but otherwise very good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
