A FRENCH TRANSITIONAL LOUIS XV/XVI STYLE PARQUETRY INLAID MAHOGANY, BOXWOOD AND WALNUT NIGHT STAND, EARLY 20TH CENTURY, the three quarter serpentine gallery surrounds a quadruple crotched top with a barber pole string inlaid frame, over a bow front drawer with parquetry inlay, above a single bowed pot cupboard door with alternating herringbone inlay, flanked by crotched and barber pole inlaid sides, and inlaid curved stiles, and raised on retrained cabriole legs ending in "C" scroll and leaf ormolu mounted feet, joined by a serpentine skirt. Some wear to the finish, surface wear, mild veneer losses, escutcheon now lost, cupboard door locked but accessible from drawer base, some apparent repairs, a yellow paint smudge, but otherwise in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
