AN AMERICAN NEO-CLASSICAL STYLE POLISHED BRASS MOUNTED MARBLE OIL LAMP WITH AMBERINA GLASS SHADE, CIRCA 1875-1890, the Amberina glass shade with turned over ruffled cranberry glass rim on quilted pattern globular body shaded to amber mounted on brass oil lamp frame stamped "No. 2 Queen Anne No. 2, 22" with dual burner control stamped with patent dates ranging from 1875 to 1890 (the burner later adapted for electricity), with gadrooned polished brass rim, the fuel reservoir within a fluted white marble container mounted with polished brass shell form band at the lip, floral swags supported by cupid figures, over stylized foliate beaded band, raised on socle base with gadrooned, beaded, acanthus leaf, and foliate paneled decoration, the whole on scrolled footed base. In overall good condition with no evidence of chips, nicks, or cracks to the shade, overall tarnishing of polished brass mounts, marble fine.
