From the Three Caballeros (a well known Disney film) comes this fun bakelite pencil sharpener with a Pablo the Penguin decal. He's from Antarctica and mostly stays home to be near his stove to stay warm. These pencil sharpeners were all the rage in the 1930's and 40's and came in pencil boxes bought for school children. As such, many of these saw use and over the years, have lost lots of pieces of their fragile decals. this one has no flaking discernible. It does have a bit of dirt embedded but I cleaned it up and most of the dirt did come off. I might suggest further cleaning, but I will leave that up to the buyer. The bakelite here is cherry red and it is fluted. The metal portion on the reverse is in excellent condition with no damage nor even rusting (another common problem with these sharpeners).
