Description

Two early 20th century 9ct gold medals and a retractable pencil. The first, reading 'The Western Football League 1913-14' with red enamel crest, the second with signed panel and engraved scrolling motif surround, together with a retractable pencil with engraved scrolling motif. Two with hallmarks for 9ct gold. Length of medals 3.1 and 3.5cms. Length of pencil 4.4cms. Total weight 15.9gms.

Condition

Overall condition fair to good. Some surface scratches/ wear, discolouration and minor dents in keeping with general age and wear.

Hallmarks for Birmingham, 1913 and 1909.

The first medal reverse reads 'Runners Up, Bath City, T. Padfield.

The second medal reverse reads 'B.C.F.L., Bristol City Res, 1908-9, Winners'. Signed panel to front reads 'W. Padfield'.

Enamel in good condition with minor chip and some scratches .

Pencil extended length 7.8cms.
