A very nice Colima ceramic head from a large figure, West Mexico, likely Comala style, c. 300 BC - AD 300, with beautifully detailed facial features and wearing ear spools and a shaman's horn. A superior example and the product of a skilled ceramic artist with preserved red over gray slip and light deposits. 6 x 4 in (15.2 x 10.2 cm). A choice example with custom metal stand.
