Grouping of 6 vintage Boston Red Sox scrap books created by 2 Red Sox fans (2 sisters) in the late 1940's, most "Teddy Williams" related - some photos with 3 other girls that may be siblings or friends (Ann, Elaine, Helen, Theresa, and Thomasine). To include: Scrap book #1 - 1947 & 1948: Autograph of Ted Williams inscribed in scrap book first page "To Theresa / Best wishes / Ted Williams" - 1947, small glossy photo of 5 young ladies holding sign "Teddy's Our Boy", each section marked with a full page W/C drawing (baseball related) including "TED 19 A.L. 47 BAT KING", "TED LOSES MVP BY ONE POINT" (subsequent news articles describe loss to Joe DiMaggio), "TED WILLIAMS TRAILS AND TRIUMPH'S - 'The Kid 1941 B.A. 408'", and many news articles, most about Williams; Scrap book #2 - 1949: Red Sox felt pennant on first page, grouping of Red Sox player prints, Fenway Park postcard, photos of girl friends outside Fenway with photos taken of Vern Stephens and Lou Stringer, many used tickets at Fenway 1949, several Official Red Sox Programs 1949, close-up on field glossy photos of Williams and other Red Sox players , photo of Joe McCarthy standing at door, autographs of Red Sox players on back of 2 postcards as they were leaving Hotel Commodore to play the NY Yankees - this scrap book ends in 1953; Scrap book #3: Autograph of Ted Williams inscribed in scrap book first page "To Ann / Best wishes / Ted Williams", many newspaper clippings, photos, etc. - last page signed Ann Lineahan / April 1948; Scrap book #4 with mostly newspaper clippings, and signed on last page Ann Lineham / August 1948; Scrap book #5 with 19 photos or Red Sox players including Dom DiMaggio, Johnny Pesky, Ted, Wally Moses, etc. - also many newspaper clippings - Last page signed Ann Linehan / October 1948; Scrap book #6 created by Theresa (Terry) Linehan in 1946: Has handmade and decorated hard covers and includes newspaper clippings sectioned off for various players including Johnny Pesky, booklet "Boston Red Sox American League 1946 Champions / Baseball Souvenir Published By The Boston Globe" - the last page with W/C painting of the inside of Fenway Park showing important events the girls attended during the year. Some loose pages, but overall all books in very good condition.
