Pre-Columbian, Native American, Midwestern United States, Middle to Late Archaic Period, ca. 4000 BP (2000 BCE). A corner-notched coarse grey chert or mudstone projectile point, with rounded shoulders and a flat, straight stem. Knapped stones are made using percussion, striking them with other stones; the process required to get them the correct shape requires training and skill. Size: 2.9" L x 1.8" W (7.4 cm x 4.6 cm)
