“Tales” was first published in 1812, containing 86 stories. Only in 1857 came the final edition of 201 stories. All editions were plentifully illustrated, first by Philipp Grot Johann and after his death in 1892, by German illustrator Robert Leinweber.
This rare folio printing is in Swedish. It was first published in 1875. Featuring a charming pictorial binding, it contains many illustrations throughout. This Swedish version features beloved tales such as:
