Description
JAPANESE KINKOZAN SATSUMA CERAMIC VASE, cobalt blue ground, intricately designed with raised decorations and heavy gilding, having a squat form with two panels of figures, one depicting a musician. Four character squared gilt-painted mark and illegible impressed mark on base. Kinkozan tsukuru. Meiji period (late 19th century). 7 1/4" H, 9 1/2" DOA.
Undamaged with a just a hint of wear to gilding on neck and edge of foot.
