Description
FOSTORIA "ELITE PRINCESS" PEG LAMPS, PAIR, cased soft pink with satin finish melon-form fonts, acid-etched rubina shades with molded bead and bulge pattern, floral etching and lightly crimped rims, No. 1 Taplin-Brown collars. Pegs with metal sleeves and spring tabs. Fitted with period Argand-style slip burners marked for Plume & Atwood Victor. Non-period colorless slip chimneys. Fitted in brass baluster-form candlesticks with push-up mechanisms and octagonal bases. Fostoria Glass Co. Fonts/shades fourth quarter 19th century. 14 3/4" HOA to top of shades, fonts 3 3/4" H to top of font, 4" D font. Shade 4" HOA, 2 1/4" D fitter.
Fonts, burners and chimneys undamaged. One shade undamaged and remaining with flakes/losses to the fitter. One sleeve detached from peg. Candlesticks with expected wear and one example lacking push-up mechanism.
