Mimi Gross Grooms enamel on cut aluminum sculpture "Tommie," depicting a seated man in street clothes, the reverse of his proper left leg numbered, signed and dated "#23/72 Mimi Gross '83," and with the artist's monogram in various places, further in the original box with woodcut of the piece pasted to the lid, noting "Tommy / 1985," the interior with sheet of original provenance noting, "There are 72 numbered multiples / 18 artist proofs / Fabricated by Silkscreen Brand X / Hand cut: Joe Prieboy / Hand bent: Mimi Gross / Boxes hand made / Original & box graphic Mimi Gross / Published by List Graphics New York City." The artist is the daughter of Chaim Gross and the wife of Red Grooms. 8.5" H X 12.5" L. Box with one side flap detached but present; overall wear to box.
