Jack L. Warner (1892-1978) Film Executive. With his three brothers, Warner founded Warner Brothers movie studio, one of Hollywood's premiere forces during the studio era. He was also an influential movie producer, responsible for 5,000 films over the course of his career. The book, Okay for Sound, edited by Frederic Thrasher, Duell, Sloan and Pierce, 1946, signed on the first blank page, “To Sir Gladwyn – With every good wish – From ‘one’ of the authors Jack Warner 4/11 – 51”. Sir Gladwyn Gebb was a British statesman, he served as an interim Secretary General of the United Nations and was British ambassador to France and the UN. There is no dust jacket, condition good, cover partially detached, rubbing to the spine and corners.
