Description
A pair of mid 19th century Arita Imari Japanese hand painted porcelain vases depicting scenes with birds and flowers and further accented with landscape scenes. Beautiful iron red ground with chrysanthemumfloral blooms. Please note that one vase does not have stylized lotus leaf border design at base. Both vases bear red six character calligraphy Zoshuntei Sanpo Zu marks to bottom for Hisatomi YojibeiMasayasu. Circa late Edo to early Meiji; mid 19th century. Measures approx. 12 3/4" height x 12 1/4" diameter.
