Description
A Milo Anderson Collection of Costume Design Sketches from Mostly Unknown Films, 1930s. Seven total, all rendered in gouache and pencil on illustration board, each depicting a very Art Deco-looking lady wearing an elaborate ensemble; one in particular depicts actress Juliette Compton from the 1933 United Artists film starring Ronald Colman, "The Masquerader" and has a fabric swatch stapled to it; five are signed in pencil in the lower right corner "Milo;" also included is an extra sketch evidently from the 1950s which Anderson may or may not have created -- overall, they're all very stylish and "period."
