Intricate, detailed figures of boys with barrels that shows the whimsy of the Victorian era. The boy’s hats are so detailed they show the circular weave of a straw hat.
A heavy cast metal figural is attached to a ring to hold a napkin. The outer ring has an Eastlake decoration. Both rings are identical. The figures show deep casting and fine details.
They have the identical mark stamped on the base of the ring. It reads; MERIDEN & COMPANY and is circular around a scale. They both also have the number “161†stamped under the company logo.
MEASUREMENTS Ring is 1 ¾†(4.4 cm) diameter x 1 9/16†(4.0 cm) wide. Little figure is 2 ¾†wide. Total weight 9.5 oz (270 g)
CONDITION There are no dents, cracks or breaks. They have no silver left. They would look great re-silvered.
