having an acorn finial above the circular dial with Roman numeral hours signed E. Howard & Co./ Boston, the throat tablet decorated to show the abbreviated names of the original thirteen colonies, the lower tablet depicting a banner marked 1842 E. Howard & Co. 1976/ 1776 U.S. Bicentennial 1976, all over the turned bracket.
Height 41 1/2 inches.
